My name is Bob Camp and I am a self taught artist with no formal art education or instruction, other than some “How To” books and tutorials that I researched to further my creative ideas. In doing so I have emulated some techniques and styles from artists I admire. As of now I can’t boast that my works are hanging in museums, or high end galleries. I have sold a few of my works to friends and acquaintances, and was recently commissioned to do a large piece for a private collector for a newly built contemporary home. Other than those sales this is my first attempt to market my art. My hopes are that this site can create some boasting rights for me in the future. I work mainly with acrylics, and some mixed mediums such as pastel chalk, texture mediums, and graphite on large canvases. I also do a collection I call Miniature Abstracts, those are done with oils. My works tend to be very colorful and vibrant. My canvases accent existing decor beautifully, and most certainly create conversations. I also create some fun, wacky, and bizarre fictional characters with amusing captioning. These are done with acrylic, watercolor, and dip pen and india ink, and some collage effects. Whatever technique I have emulated I incorporate some of my own experimental flair throughout the painting.
All proceeds from my sales will go to advance “Boogies Dream”. See “About” for explanation of “Boogies Dream”.
